The designing and creation of the Miss Universe Nigeria Winners crown – by Nigerians, made in Nigeria, and with Nigerian gemstones. This initiative was executed for Silverbird Media Group in 2023, in collaboration with Women In Mining In Nigeria (WIMIN) and Tejiri Jewelry. The crown, conceived and designed by Kiki Lucas Jewelry, handcrafted by Tejiri Jewelry and stones and metal sourced by Women In Mining In Nigeria; this endeavor marked a momentous milestone, not only for our brand but for the entire jewelry industry across the nation.
At Kiki Lucas Jewelry, we believe in celebrating Nigeria’s rich landscape of precious gemstones and encouraging the unparalleled talent and creativity of our local artisans. This project placed a spotlight on Nigeria’s untapped potential as a hub for jewelry craftsmanship and gemstone sourcing, bringing global attention to our nation’s abundant natural resources and skilled workforce. Moreover, this initiative is a testament to our unwavering commitment to championing women in the industry and beyond. By collaborating with Women in Mining in Nigeria and Tejiri Jewelry, Kiki Chiori has demonstrated her dedication to the cause of women empowerment and collaboration, recognizing their creativity, resourcefulness, and skill. This project not only celebrates the beauty of Nigerian gemstones but also celebrates the strength, resilience, and ingenuity of women in our society.
As we embark on the journey to create the Miss Universe Nigeria crown for 2024, we are confident that this endeavor will be an even greater success, further cementing Nigeria’s potential to become a powerhouse in the global jewelry industry. We are proud to be at the forefront of this movement, and we look forward to continue to showcase the best of Nigerian craftsmanship and creativity to the world.
